The second weekend of the Autumn Internationals unfolded nearly exactly how we picked it. Here is how each prediction played out.
Ireland vs Japan
Our pick: Under 65.5 total points @1.85
Ireland were always going to stick Japan away, but 66 total points is no small task in a game, and if the Springboks the previous week went under that, the logic was that Ireland would struggle to. The game finished well under the line.

Scotland vs New Zealand
Our pick: New Zealand to win @1.38
A straightforward call that landed. Scotland had never beaten the All Blacks before, ever. Despite moments of spark at Murrayfield from the Scots, the All Blacks’ ability to absorb pressure and finish stronger remains their defining trait. The outcome was the value angle, and it delivered exactly as expected.
England vs Fiji
Our pick: Fiji +27.5 @1.53
This was one of the best value reads of the weekend. England controlled the match but Fiji stayed competitive, defended with purpose and never allowed the game to blow open. The handicap was never truly in danger, giving another comfortable win.
Italy vs Australia
Our pick: Australia -7.5 @1.40
This one missed. Australia were poor for a second week running, and despite leading by seven points with half an hour to play, Joe Schmidt’s men could not hold out. The value in the bet was that a Wallabies side better in history and on paper should always have beaten Italy. Also check United Rugby Championship results.
France vs South Africa
Our pick: South Africa to win @1.88
It’s hard and perhaps foolish to be against these Springboks at the moment. The Boks were brilliant, even playing with 14 guys for the entire second half, and finished the game looking like they could have kept scoring if there was more time.
Wales vs Argentina
Our pick: Argentina -7.5 @1.53
This one hit cleanly. Argentina’s record in Cardiff and their abrasive carrying again proved decisive. Wales were competitive early, with the scores locked at halftime, but didn’t have the puff to compete for a full 80 minutes. This call came off cleanly.
