Tottenham Hotspur prepare to host Liverpool in arguably the most anticipated match in matchday 17 of the English Premier League.
Tottenham have to find a way to bounce back after suffering an embarrassing 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest last weekend. The defeat leaves Spurs in 11th place with 22 points, four less than seventh place Liverpool.
The reds seem to have found some footing after a dismal run that saw them lose six games in 10. Liverpool have struggled against top teams this season but are currently on a five-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
Tottenham will be seeking revenge after Liverpool completed the league double over them last season with a ridiculous 11-4 aggregate scoreline.

Team news
With Ghana failing to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Mohammed Kudus will be available for Spurs. He has scored in three of their last five games and will start alongside Xavi Simons. Thomas Frank is expected to make a couple changes to the team that started in the Nottingham with Brennan Johnson and Mathys Tel likely to come into the starting lineup.
Mohamed Salah is away with Egypt at AFCON and Cody Gakpo remains sidelined with injury. Alexander Isak has a good scoring record against Spurs and may get the nod to lead the attacking line. No other changes are expected from Arne Slot.
Head-to-head and current form
Liverpool have won four of their last matches against Spurs, including a 6-3 thriller in December 2024. Lucas Bergvall’s 86th minute winner was enough the last time Spurs beat Liverpool 1-0 in January.

Prediction
This fixture is known to produce goals and this trend is set to continue at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday. Spurs are desperate to bounce back and with home advantage, they could avoid defeat against a rather inconsistent Liverpool side.
However, goals are our predicted betting option for this game. Over 2.5 goals.
