Both sides had found the back of the net with the score tied at 1-1 by the time the game was abandoned, with both clubs facing hefty fines following the unfortunate incident.
Murang’a Seal vs Mara Sugar
Murang’a Seal finished off the year with a statement 3-1 win against Mara Sugar, making it back to back wins for the first time this season.

Kariobangi Sharks vs Sofapaka
At the bottom of the table, Kariobangi Sharks remain last with 12 points after being held to a barren draw by Sofapaka.
Sofapaka and AP Bomet occupy the other two relegation spots, hoping they can bounce back in the new year if they are to retain their top flight status next season.
Ulinzi Stars forward Paul Okoth is tied at the top of the goal scorers list, level with Joe Irungu Waithira of Murang’a, both players scoring five goals. Okoth’s exploits have been instrumental in turning Ulinzi’s season around, including a magnificent hat-trick in their most recent 3-0 win against Posta Rangers.
Despite not winning in their last three matches, Posta remain in eighth place with 21 points and will need to be at their best when the league resumes in January.
With plenty of action still left in the SportPesa League, there is loads to look forward to after the Christmas break.
