Champions League Matchday 3’s Tuesday night brings heavyweight ties in London, the North East and Spain. Below are our favourite angles from five fixtures.

Barcelona vs Olympiacos (Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys)

Barcelona have cruised through their group stages so far, and Olympiacos rarely travel well in Europe. Xavi’s side dominate possession and chance creation, while the visitors rely on set pieces. Arsenal vs Atlético Madrid (Emirates)

Arsenal are humming at home and have started Europe cleanly. Atlético are sturdier than in recent seasons but still concede territory away to elite possession sides. Market has Arsenal short; the handicap offers the value. Pick: Arsenal -1 (AH) ~1.95–2.02; Arsenal win ~1.60–1.70.

Newcastle United vs Benfica (St James’ Park)

Mourinho’s Benfica add narrative, but Newcastle’s intensity at home plus set-piece threat tilts this. Market rates the Magpies odds-on; moneyline is playable. Pick: Newcastle win ~1.57–1.75. Consider Newcastle win & Under 4.5 ~2.05–2.25.

Villarreal vs Manchester City (Estadio de la Cerámica)

City’s underlying numbers are back to elite levels and Haaland’s form against Spanish opposition has been prolific. Villarreal can punch, but City control should tell. Pick: Man City win ~1.60–1.72. Lean Man City win & Over 1.5 ~1.95–2.05.

PSV vs Napoli (Philips Stadion)

Both teams arrive with attacking trends: PSV games are high-event, Napoli progressive under pressure. Goals angle is stronger than a side. Pick: Over 2.5 goals ~1.70–1.85; Both Teams To Score ~1.65–1.75.

FC Copenhagen vs Borussia Dortmund (Parken)

Copenhagen are awkward at home, but Dortmund’s front line and shot volume travel. Market prices BVB narrow favourites; moneyline acceptable. Pick: Dortmund win ~1.76–1.91.
