The Premiership’s top four meet for places in the final at Twickenham on Saturday 20 June. History favours the hosts: away wins in Premiership play-offs are rare, with Harlequins’ comeback at Bristol the last of only six in the competition’s history.
Rugby betting guide for beginners
Northampton v Leicester – Friday, 20:45 SAST, Franklin’s Gardens
The East Midlands derby with a final on the line. Northampton went unbeaten at home in the league this season, including eight consecutive wins, and beat Leicester 32-26 at this ground. The counter is that Leicester won comfortably at Northampton a month ago, proof they can beat anyone on their day, even if their run-in included defeats to Exeter and Saracens.
The market: Northampton are 1.41 to win
The pick: Northampton to win, Leicester +10.5 @1.47 as the bet. Derby semi-finals stay tight, and the Tigers have already won at this venue this season.

Bath v Exeter – Saturday, 16:00 SAST, The Recreation Ground
The holders against the form team. Bath are chasing a third successive final after losing to Northampton in 2024 and beating Leicester last year, but they limped to the line with one win in four, including losses to Bristol, Exeter and Northampton. Exeter arrive flying. Henry Slade inspired a 32-12 win over Saracens to seal their play-off place, and they beat Bath 35-12 in their last home meeting.
The market: Bath are 1.25 to win,
The pick: the upset watch of the weekend. Exeter +8.5 @1.89 is the bet, and the brave can take the Chiefs outright. Bath failed to cover the handicap in only three games as favourites last season, and two of those were against Exeter.
