AFCON 2025 hosts Morocco are hoping to end their Group A exploits on a high when they take on Zambia on Monday night.
After a 2-0 opening night victory against Comoros, the hosts were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Mali, leaving them atop the standings with four points.
They face an unbeaten Zambia side who are in third place with two points after consecutive draws in their opening fixtures. The 2012 champions need to maintain their unbeaten status against Morocco if they are to keep any hope alive of a place in the round of 16.
Since their only ever AFCON win, Zambia have failed to make it past the group stages and have the chance to end an 11-game winless streak in the continental showpiece.
Despite the anxiety of an early exit no longer being a threat, Morocco need to put on a more convincing display if they are to capitalize on home advantage to make it all the way to the final.

Team news
Parson Daka has scored the only goal for the Zambians so far and will lead the attacking line. Fashion Sakala and Lameck Banda have not yet impressed but will get the nod in the final third for the Copper bullets. There is no change expected from the side that drew 1-1 against Mali.
For the hosts, African footballer of the year Achraf Hakimi has recovered from an injury and is set to start for the first time. Youssef En Nesyru has come off the bench in both previous matches but is expected to start his first game here.
