West Ham and Brentford meet at the London Stadium on Monday night in a clash that could have major implications near the bottom of the Premier League table.
Both sides enter the final fixture of Gameweek 8 searching for form and consistency, and Betway odds reflect just how little separates them. West Ham are priced at 2.65, Brentford at 2.80, and the draw at 3.45.
West Ham’s struggles have continued under new manager Nuno Espírito Santo, who replaced Graham Potter earlier this month. The Hammers sit inside the relegation zone with only four points from their opening eight matches, and just one win in their last five. Defensive errors and a lack of cohesion in attack have been costly, with West Ham averaging less than one goal per game but conceding more than two per match.

Brentford’s start under Keith Andrews has been equally inconsistent. The Bees have taken only seven points from eight matches and, like West Ham, have managed just a single win in their last five league games. Their attack has shown glimpses of threat, averaging roughly 1.25 goals per match, but defensive lapses have repeatedly undone promising performances.
The numbers point towards another close contest. Both teams to score (BTTS) is 1.66 on Betway, while “No” for BTTS is 2.19. Given both sides’ leaky defences and attacking urgency, BTTS looks the stronger play.
With little to separate the sides and both managers still finding their footing, a draw could also offer value at 3.45. For those seeking a safer bet, BTTS at 1.66 provides a logical option in what promises to be a tense, finely balanced contest.
