Gameweek 8 proved that nothing in the Premier League is guaranteed, as underdogs thrived and big names stumbled. With momentum shifting again, here are the top five betting angles for this weekend’s fixtures from Betway.

Chelsea vs Sunderland – Chelsea Win @ 1.41

Chelsea are building an unbeaten run, scoring 14 goals in their last five matches in all competitions. Sunderland, meanwhile, have made an impressive start to their Premier League return, sitting in seventh place and just two defeats from their opening eight matches. Despite Sunderland’s surprising run, Chelsea’s improving home form under Enzo Maresca justifies the short price.

Bournemouth vs Nottingham Forest – Bournemouth Win @ 1.72

Bournemouth enter this round unbeaten in seven Premier League matches and averaging more than two goals per game. For Sean Dyche, this is his Premier League debut as Forest boss. His sides are known for structure, but a leaky defence that’s shipped 23 goals in all competitions may take time to fix. Bournemouth’s rhythm and the form of Ghanaian superstar Antoine Semenyo should hold.

Aston Villa vs Manchester City – BTTS “Yes” @ 1.65

Villa have put their shaky goal scoring form behind them under Unai Emery and average 2.4 goals per game. City have only two clean sheets from their last six league outings. Both attacks are potent, with Erling Haaland scoring 11 in just 8 matches, expect goals at both ends.

Wolves vs Burnley – Draw @ 3.35

Wolves remain winless after eight matches, while Burnley have netted just once in their last three away fixtures. With both stuck in the relegation zone and prioritising stability, this has all the makings of a nail-biting affair. Expect Wolves to throw the kitchen sink at Scott Parker’s side.

Everton vs Tottenham – Tottenham Win @ 3.00

Spurs are unbeaten away from home in the 2025–26 season, taking 10 points from 12 on the road in the Premier League. Everton’s attack has improved, but the return of Jack Grealish may not be enough to halt Spurs’ attacking edge.
