Manchester City are out to extend their unbeaten English Premier League run when they welcome Chelsea to the Etihad on Sunday evening.
The fixture which was already a tough one for the Blues was made even worse after the news of Enzo Marseca’s dismissal after 18 months in charge. Third-place City have 41 points but will reclaim second spot with a victory here, while Chelsea come into the game in fifth place with 30 points.
City were held to a surprise barren draw at Sunderland last time out, while Chelsea stumbled yet again with a 2-2 home draw against Brentford.
With only two wins in their last nine games across all competitions, there is a sense of urgency to turn things around for Chelsea. This will be an uphill task at a stadium where they have been winless in their last seven matches, not beating City since the 2021 Champions League final.
In arguably, the biggest game of the EPL matchday, City are deemed as favorites to extend their unbeaten run against the London side.
Our team has a look at all key details of the match as well as our predicted outcome.

Team news
Nico Gonzales and Savinho are the newest injury concerns for City, joining John Stones and Mateo Kovacic on the sidelines. Rodri may get his first start after returning from injury, alongside Tijani Reijnders and Bernardo Silva.
Erling Haaland has not scored in his last three games and will start hoping to continue his favorable goal-scoring form against the Blues.
It will be interesting to see how Chelsea line up in their first match without a manager. Moises Caicedo is the biggest absentee as he is suspended, with Enzo Fernandez and Reece James expected to start in the middle of the pack.
Cole Palmer is set to start once again, alongside Pedro Neto and Alejandro Garnacho on the flanks.
Head-to-head and current form
The hosts had won eight successive matches before the draw at Sunderland, while Chelsea have just two wins in that run. In the last five matches against City, the Blues have only managed one point, losing the rest of the games.

Prediction
Despite the inconsistent run of form, goals have not been too much of an issue for Chelsea, scoring in each of their last six games. City have scored in all home games this season, making both teams to score a likely outcome.
A Manchester City win @1.60 odds is also a worthy bet for this game.
