Team news
Eder Militao is the latest on the Madrid injury list after being forced off against Celta Vigo with a hamstring injury. He joins a long list of injured defenders as Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dean Huijsen, David Alaba and Dani Carvajal remain sidelined.
Toni Rudiger is set to start alongside Alvaro Carreras who is one booking away from suspension. The attacking line is fully fit with Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo all set to start.
Matteo Kovacic and Rodri remain the only main injury concerns for the visiting City. Erling Haaland already has five goals in the CL and will lead the line, flanked by Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku.
Head-to-head and current form
Madrid’s 2-0 loss to Celta Vigo was their only defeat in the last five games, which features two draws as well.
Meanwhile, City have lost twice in that run but have since turned that around to win three straight games.
