Champions Pyramids FC and Moroccan outfit Berkane are the only two teams with six points after winning both of their CAF Champions League matches so far.
After two rounds of matches, the continental showpiece takes a break until round three scheduled for January 23 next year.
Group A: Berkane on top
Berkane go into the break leading Group A ahead of Pyramids simply because they have scored one more goal than the Egyptian giants.
Berkane beat Nigeria’s River United 2-1, while Pyramids edged Power Dynamos of Zambia 1-0 courtesy of a second half Mohamed Reda goal.

Group B: Al Ahly lead
In Group B, Al Ahly lead the standings with four points after they were held to a 1-1 draw by another Moroccan outfit FAR Rabat.
Tanzanian champions Yanga are second in the Group after being held to a barren draw by Algerian side Kabylie.
Kabylie and Rabat are level with a point each, making their next matches must wins against stiff competition if they are to make it out of the Group stage.
Group C: Sundowns still ahead
South African powerhouse Mamelodi Sundowns remain in charge of Group C despite playing out to a barren draw against MC Alger last Friday.
The point takes Sundowns tally to four points, level with second place Al Hilal Omdurman.
The Sudanese outfit drew 1-1 against St. Eloi Lupopo of DRC, boosting their hopes of qualification ahead of the next round of matches.

Group D: Simba sit bottom
The biggest surprise of the competition so far comes in Group D where Simba SC are rooted to the bottom of the standings after two consecutive defeats.
The 10-man Tanzanian giants went down 2-1 to Stade Malien, leaving them without a point ahead of the next round of matches. Stade Malien are level on points with Group D leaders Petro Atletico, who were held 1-1 by Esperance de Tunis.
Betting lessons:
Home advantage key – Rivers United and Power Dynamos were the only teams that failed to win at home.
Despite majority of the other games resulting in draws, it maintains the trend of home teams avoiding defeat, thus providing a worthy betting option for punters.
Low goal ratio – Only 13 goals were scored in all eight games played over matchday two, seven less than the first round.
With the exception of one game, all the rest resulted in Under 2.5 goals.
The cagey nature and individual supremacy in their respective leagues, limits the number of goals scored and this trend is set to continue as the competition progresses.
