Bayern Munich’s unreal 16-game winning start to the season was halted by a determined Union Berlin as they played out to a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Dutch defender Danilho Doekhi struck twice for Union Berlin to hold the Bavarian powerhouse, however they still maintain a six-point lead at the top of the table.

Bundesliga top scorers Harry Kane (13) and Luis Diaz (6) added to their tallies but Vincent Kompany’s side had to settle for their first draw of the campaign.

RB Leipzig remain in second place with 22 points despite being subjected to a 3-1 defeat away to Hoffenheim.

This was Hoffenheim’s fourth consecutive league victory and lifted them into sixth place with 19 points as they continue a respectable start to the German top flight season.

Bayer Leverkusen bounced back from their defeat to Bayern in majestic fashion, running riot in a 6-0 demolition of Heidenheim to lift them into the top five.

Patrick Schick and Ibrahim Maza both bagged braces in the statement win as Leverkusen became the second highest scoring team in the Bundesliga, behind leaders Bayern.

Borussia Dortmund on the other hand failed to take advantage of the top two teams dropping points as they were also held to a frustrating 1-1 draw by Hamburg.

Premier League wrap – Arsenal held, City close gap

Carney Chukwuemeka gave Dortmund the lead in the 64th minute and they seemed to be on course for all three points until Ransford Konigsdorffer broke their hearts with a 97th minute stoppage time equalizer.

Freiburg handed St Pauli a fifth straight league loss as they came out 2-1 winners, while Mainz fell 1-0 away to Eintracht Frankfurt to stretch their winless run to five games as well.

Betting Lessons & Trends

Goals Galore – A total of 32 goals were scored across the Bundesliga this weekend. The most in all top leagues. Over 1.5 market for majority of the games continues to be a worthy bet.

Home Ground Advantage – No team playing at home lost during Matchday 11. The hosts are tipped to maintain their win streaks, with at least a draw being the worst outcome.
