Kakamega Homeboyz maintained their position at the top of the SportPesa Premier League standings after salvaging a 1-1 draw against Tusker FC at the Bukhungu Stadium on Sunday.
Oliver Majak got the equalizer for the hosts in the 88th minute to cancel out Fabian Adkiny’s earlier goal, earning them a point to take them to 14 from seven matches.
This weekend produced the least amount of goals in an SPL Matchday so far this season, with only 12 goals scored in all nine games across the country.

Record league winners Gor Mahia were also held to a 1-1 draw by Ulinzi Stars but it was enough to see them climb up into second place, just a point behind the leaders.
At the SportPesa Arena, Murang’a Seal battled to their second win of the campaign as they beat KCB 2-1 to hop out of the relegation zone and into 10th place on the log.
Sofapaka FC were the only other winners as they cruised to a comfortable 3-0 win against Nairobi United on Saturday at the Dandora Stadium.
The win stretched their unbeaten run to three games as they sit in seventh place with 8 points, two more than their opponents who dropped to 14th place.
Kenya Police remain unbeaten in the SPL this season and were unfortunate to settle for a barren draw against Posta Rangers in their Sunday home match.

Goal scarcity continues – The SPL continues to show that goals are still not in abundance over the course of the season so far. With 10 teams failing to find the back of the net, bets on under 2.5 and under 3.5 goals continue to prove worthy.
