In the final match of Gameweek 10, this season’s surprise package Sunderland host Everton at the Stadium of Light with some interesting betting prospects for punters.
Sunderland have announced their return to the Premier League with authority, sitting in seventh place ahead of tonight’s clash, the Black Cats have picked up 10 points out of their last 15 and lost just twice in nine matches. Everton head into this fixture with a less convincing run behind them. The Toffees have won just once in their last five games, losing three and drawing once.

Despite Jack Grealish headlining an exciting attacking lineup, consistent results have escaped David Moyes’ side this season. Betway is expecting a tight matchup, with odds of 2.80 for both a Sunderland and Everton win, while a draw is valued at 3.15.
BTTS could be an interesting option, with yes valued at 1.90 and no showing odds of 1.88. Sunderland’s offensive and defensive record is better than Everton, with 11 goals scored to nine and just seven goals conceded to Everton’s 12. A win could take Sunderland into second place, while Everton are sitting dangerously close to the relegation zone and could restore some breathing room with a result on the Tyne.
The numbers point towards a tight contest, however with home advantage and their run of results, Sunderland are slight favourites.
